Modeling AGN jet feedback and its signatures in simulations of galaxy formation

Cosmological galaxy formation simulations depend on AGN-driven feedback to model high-mass galaxies and their gaseous halos. However, simulation models vary greatly in both implementation and assumptions about small-scale physics that transfer energy from the nuclear to galactic scales. To advance in this field, it is crucial to improve the coarse-graining of small-scale physics and establish stronger links to diverse AGN signatures, such as radio emission and multi-phase outflows. These steps will help produce more accurate simulations and deepen our understanding of how AGN-driven feedback affects galaxy evolution.
